Bahrain Defense Force Conducts Two Separate Drills

A joint military drill titled ‘Bahrain’s Arrows 2020’ started Tuesday and will run until Wednesday in several parts of the country.

Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) units are taking part in several exercises as part of an annual training program to enhance the combat readiness of officers, non-commissioned officers and servicemen.

The military exercise also aims to further develop the BDF weaponry and units as well as upgrade the defense capabilities according to the latest technological means to achieve set up goals and preserve national achievements, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

Meanwhile, Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) represented by the Royal Bahraini Air Force (RBAF) is also carrying out the joint air exercise with the US Air Force on December 6-10.

The exercise (photo) aims to increase military coordination, strengthen joint defense work in the airspace, achieve the desired integration between the two friendly forces, and continue cooperation and exchange of military experiences and combat readiness.

In another development, BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, received Monday Indian Ocean Naval District Commander and French Forces Base Commander in UAE Major General Jacques Fayard, and French Ambassador to Bahrain Jérôme Cauchard, and the French Non-resident Military Attaché to Bahrain Colonel Luc Dario.

The meeting reviewed the solid historical ties between Bahrain and France.

Defense Affairs Minister Lieutenant-General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, and Chief-of-Staff Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi were present.
